WARNING! Fake dog rescuer, dog reseller
and puppy mill breeder of Dachshunds in Athol, Idaho!
Please be aware that there is a fake dachshund rescuer, dog broker and puppy mill breeder in north Idaho, Athol,
a few minutes north of Coeur d'Alene. This is RuthAnn Hoffman alias R. A. Hoffman alias Ruth Anne Hoffman of Little
Long Dogs "Fake" Rescue or Little Long Dogs Rescue. We are NOT associated with her in any way nor is she is representative of our dog rescue. Hoffman never has
been or every will be associated with Dachshund Rescue NW. I have not spoken to her since 2005 when she started selling
puppies for another breeder then later started using the dogs that she was given by the public to rehome as free breeding
stock for her puppy mill breeding operation.
As of March 2011, Hoffman
is now also telling people that she is me at events and that this is her dog rescue also, Dachshund Rescue NW. She is
lying to the public telling them she is me so she can scam away their dogs for resale. So please be aware that this
woman is a puppy mill breeder. Plus Hoffman sells unfixed dogs without their shots or worming annd little or no retraining
and no health histories or vet records. Hoffman knows very little about the dogs she "rescues" and resells.
Hoffman warehouses the dogs in crates until she has a buyer. See photos of the nightmare that is her home below

Hoffman is actually a dog broker or reseller. She
will re-sell any dog to any family even if the dog is dangerous and a biter to a family with little kids, etc. So please
pass the word that this Hoffman never is and never has been a part of our dog rescue.
I did help her get started in rescuing this breed thinking she could help with the 200+ dogs we were turning away each year.
Now we turn away 400+ unwanted wieners each year but that is another story. But once I started getting too many
complaint calls from Hoffman's customers then later having to re-rescue her already rescued dogs that she lied to her customers
about the dog's personality and the dogs were not as promised then I knew she was not a legit rescuer any longer although
she was for about six months in 2005. Then later yet our dog rescue was rescuing some of her mentally ill pups that
she bred and sold whent were not socialized, I dumped her as a person that I never wanted to speak to ever again.
Hoffman is amazingly dishonest so please avoid doing ANY business with her
at any cost and if she wants to meet you in a parking lot to pick up your dog or sell them to you, then you now know why,
PUPPY MILL BREEDER who can not stand any inspections at her home. Yes anyone can breed pups and yes this is a free country, but they can not sell breedable dogs of all ages and STILL
be called a rescuer. Rescuers NEVER adopt out ANY dogs that are NOT fixed and therein lies the HUGE difference between
her and our legit dog rescue. All our dogs are fixed before placement and have their shots, worming and are trained
with personality guaranteees plus we answer questions for the life of the dogs and hold events for the dog club so we can
see our adopted babies later on. We NEVER breed ANY pups as we know there are way too many homeless wieners out there
needing new homes.
We also will
not lie to people just to place a dog. I would rather tell everyone the good, the bad and the ugly about each dog so they
are not bounced around or dumped later. I want them in their last home but then again we love this breed and we actually
care where they go and that they they have a good life. If we did this dog rescue for dollars then we would of quit
years ago. Plus in 20 years of rescuing over 700+ Dachshunds only 12 have been returned to us thanks to the economy
with one behavior issue, but all were successfully rehomed the second time around. We screen homes and Hoffman does
not.
Hoffman advertises enough dogs as homeless on Petfinder so she can scam
dogs away from people to re-sell them. Hoffman is in fact a puppy mill breeder and a fake rescuer who does not guarantee
her dogs. Plus Hoffman disappears if anyone complains after they have bought a dog from her. So please warn your
friends as our dog rescue has now rescued 11 of her dogs. Plus I am tired of hearing complaints from her customers for
the last 6 years so research who you buy your pups from please and know that not all "rescuers" are as they seem
to be.
Plus we met Hoffman when she wanted to adopt a senior longhair chocolate
dog we had at the time. I gave her Von Drake and drove to her home to inspect. It was not a disaster or a stinking
mess then. A year later Hoffman had relisted Ducky on www.petfinder.com as six when he was in fact 14 years old at the
time and was asking a $300 adoption fee! Hoffman has been defrauding the public about the dogs she is "rescuing"
for over six year now that we know of. "So once a liar, always a liar!" Let the buyer beware that her
dogs will not be as promised when she sells them!
Hoffman has been
reported for years to the Better Business Bureau. And she is in trouble with her local animal control as well as local
police so do some research please on where your next dog buddy is coming from. Please do not buy any
dogs from a parking lot. Please go an inspect where you are getting your new pet.
