of Spokane Events for 2012 are listed below with details and contact information at the bottom of the page.
The public and everyone is always welcome to attend any of our events with or without a Dachshunds even
if you are not a club member just bring the small breeds only please! Please mark your calendars
and save the dates below.

Dachshund Club of Spokane Dues are Due in January 2012 for only $20 a year helps us plan these events below! You can pay at any event too! Please
send payable to Margo Mossburg, PO Box 1383, Airway Heights, WA, 99001. Thanks! To those folks who are always
volunteering because your club dues are always free.

March 17, 2012 Event: This is our club kick off for the spring!
The annual St. Patty's Day Parade
will start at noon so meet at 10:30 a.m. if you need to decorate your dogs or yourselves. The Wiener Train is no
more so please pull your dogs in a decorated stroller or in a decorated wagon or have them walking. Be sure to dress
up in green for you and your dogs! Park anywhere but please walk into behind the Boy Scouts office which is a block
south of Washington Street at Boone Avenue in downtown Spokane. There is no charge and need mot be a club member to
join us. Just bring your wiener dogs on a secure leash and tell your wiener dog buds to join us. We will
walk from the Coliseum parking lot where the Boy Scout office is the southeast corner through downtown and back. Wear
comfy shoes and dress in layers. Please remember to bring yourselves and your dogs some water too. This will be
the only parade we are doing this year so come join the fun. Need not RSVP or call first, just show up. The entry
has already been sent in from the dog club so dress the whole family up and come join the fun. SAMPLE

16, 2011 Event: UPDATE: April 19.This was a fun party.

"Twenty Years in Recycling Used Wieners" Party at the dog rescue! We will be celebrating placing over
700 homeless wiener dogs at the dog rescue. This is a potluck with no assigned dishes, but we have dessert already so
please bring a side dish or main dish. Plates, drinks, cups, utensils, napkins, etc., will be provided. The public
is invited to this one so please limit yourselves to two dogs per family for the room. $5 donation per person is ecnouraged
for the dog rescue unless a volunteer then no donation is needed. This will be a large party and a fun day so please
com join us. RSVP to dragoonfr@hotmail.com for directions if you are new to the dog club. The time is we start
at noon and finish around 8 p.m. with people coming and going all day.
May 14, 2011 Event: Bark For Life at Rogers High School soccer fields. (UPDATE!)
We will be having a doggy adoption booth there for this event. I need volunteers from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to set up,
man and take down the booth. If you can help and want more details email Margo at dragoonfr@hotmail.com Please leave
your dogs at home. We are trying to adopt out our homeless ones. Thanks. Thanks
to all the volunteers who came out to this event. It was a fun one showing off the adoptable dogs once again. June 11, 2011 Eighth Annual Parade of Paws at the Spokane Humane Society. (Update!) I will be doing a doggy adoption booth with our adoptable dogs. If
you think you can help from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. please email Margo at dragoonfr@hotmail.com Please leave your dogs
at home. We are trying to adopt our homeless ones. Thanks. This
was a fun event as always and thank to everyone who came out and visited as well as worked in the doggy adoption booth to
help place our homeless wiener dogs. August
27, Saturday, the last big party at the dog rescue this season, our Wienerfest BBQ Potluck and Open House! Bring
your wiener dogs, a potluck dish for at least 6 people and a lawn chair for every person attending. The party starts at noon
and goes until 8 p.m. If someone will run the BBQ for me and you bring some meat to throw
on our two charcoal BBQs too then we can be grilling as well. Also if it a birthday celebration for my husband Dennis who
is turning the big 40 this year! We need to decorate here in black! No gifts are needed for Dennis unless you
know him, but donations to the dog rescue are always appreciated. If getting a gift he always likes toys for his
rotten wiener dog, Monster Magnus Hellhound. ;-) Chips, plates, dessert, cups, utensils, and some drinks are all provided
so please bring real food for your potluck dish! Thanks in advance. Please RSVP to me for directions to the Wiener Ranch if
you do not know the way. Please leave your in-season female dogs at home. So come on and invite your wiener buds
October 29: Join some Dachshund Club of Spokane members
for a Happy Halloweenie Costume Contest. Email Margo at dragoonfr@hotmail.com for more details! This will be our last club event as a group until March when we are in the St. Pattie's Day Parade
the second Saturday in March so save the date.
