We needed a door for easier people access at the rescued dogs' area so I emailed one of our dog club members
for some help. I told them that I had the door and the hardware so when Steve and Linda had some time I would
greatly appreciate their help installing this door. Steve works as a carpenter and I knew it would take him no time,
but take me several days with learning how to do it right.
I figured it would take a few weeks and then I would see them. Much to my surprise they showed up the very next
day with tools in hand and willingness to be turned loose on any projects I needed. How fun is that?
Within a few hours the door was expertly installed by Steve and Linda was doing dog chores around the place like cleaning
up dog tootsie rolls. Most folks who volunteer do not want to do the dirty jobs too so your willingness to help where
it was needed most if always appreciated.
Dachshund Rescue NW's volunteers are some of the nicest people I have ever met and these two are no exception.
To some folks this is "just a door." To me it means that our friends feel what we are doing is a very good thing
here, recycling rotten little wiener dogs.
"Did I mention I have door?" Hahahaha. I was thrilled for the day and I am still am. Thanks again
very much.
Notice the black "helper wiener" below? Bad Baby played inspector and supervisor for the day.
