HUNTER: We rescued Hunter first in 1991. As with
most rescuers we did not let this boy go. He was a smaller puppy at the time and had some health issues. He ended
up being with us for 14.5 years. This boy was a major hunting dog, no mouse or mole was safe in his presence.
Hunter passed away in September 2005.
OSCAR: Then we got Oscar, the grump in the Winter of
1992. He was too obnoxious to place in a new home and he growled at us for 14 years. We loved him with all our
hearts anywise. He never tried to bite us but he was happily trying to bite everyone else he would meet for about five
years. Oscar was Hunter's younger brother from a litter six months later and we had to sweet talk the breeder from a
lifetime of hiding in the barn away from people. Oscar was abused and nasty so they were considering just putting him
down. Not if we could help it. So we had Oscar in our lives for almost 14 years. He pased away in July 2004.
Rest in peace boys. We still miss you both.
If there is a proper heaven for animal lovers we will be hunting mice together again someday.
